Things to do in Vancouver🥰
Vancouver is one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in the world. The different cultures settled in their own districts and offer a colorful picture to Vancouvers visitors. For its beauty and cultural mixture it is also called the “Canadian Pacific Pearl”.
Today you will remain in Vancouver Downtown and explore the Historical
Districts: Gastown, Yaletown and Chinatown🌇. The best way would be to join a
guide tour, as your guide may explain best the different architecture and tell
about the different cultures, which settled there.
Gastown got its name from "Gassy" Jack Deighton, a Yorkshire seaman, who opened the first saloon in this area in 1867. Today the oldest district of Vancouver is a fashion and hip district with old architecture and a lot of flair.
Walk to Yaletown, where you could have lunch in a nice restaurant.
Yaletown has been the Western “homeland” of the Canadian Pacific Railway and
today it is one of the chicest quarters in Vancouver downtown with amazing
lofts, trendy restaurants and bars and beautiful boutiques and shops.
Stroll along the streets and reach Chinatown, where the TRIPCHILKIS planned you to visit the world famous Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden🐉. The Garden is one of the largest Chinese Gardens outside China itself and the design has been inspired by the old Ming Architecture. Even the materials have been imported from China to build the most authentic garden outside the Chinese homeland. Enjoy the wonderful park and then have diner in a nice restaurant at Chinatown.

The stone wall has been erected around the shore of Stanley Park to prevent erosion of the park’s foreshore.
The TRIPCHILKIS recommend to start early in the morning, to have this cycle trail on your own. What about a start at 05.00 - 06.00 am and a cycle towards sunrise? Then have breakfast at Teahouse in Stanley Park🏫 with marvelous views over the sea and Vancouver Island far away. Then go and visit the famous Aquarium of Vancouver🐟. The Aquarium shows different aquatic zones to its visitors: the arctic zone, the tropical zone, the lakes area, the penguin world and many more. Enjoy a colorful tour around the Sea world with his cosy inhabitants. If you want you may have lunch at the aquariums restaurant. Then cycle to the First Nation Totem Poles. This fine wooden arts show the culture of the First Nations and their deep relationship to nature. The TRIPCHILKIS HINT: sit down and look at the Totems – let inspire by their spiritual power emitted by the Totems.
In the evening hours the TRIPCHILKIS recommend to choose a nice restaurant in Gastown or Yaletown to end the evening in a chilly way.
